There are two very interesting video clips, which is all about “read my lips”. The http://www.snapsandbytes.co.uk/video38.html is about a video clip of “Bush & Blair - Endless Love”, and people who took film paper last year might remember this incredible video clip. This video collected some words from the two political leaders and changed the tempo of those words to approached the song lyrics, and I strongly recommend that people to watch that!
Here, I want to say is there is a new idea of “music on the screen”. When we think about the “music on the screen”, we always think about like the film soundtrack, the MTV shows on the TV and music in the computer games, and so on. However, the “lip sing” also can be understood as a way of showing the music on the screen. For instance, two Chinese college boys do the same thing like what is showing in the “Bush & Blair - Endless Love” video clips, they are singing songs without sound and making faces when they are “singing” (http://gb.cri.cn/6851/2005/06/22/1525@593655.htm). The music on the screen is no longer a way to promote the soundtrack, the singer star, the film or anything like that, but becomes a sort of fun. It can be observed that the music on the screen does no longer only work for the commercial purpose, and the ordinary people can in charge their new fashion identity of music on the screen.
