"The Magic Numbers" is one of my favourite bands. They are a four piece band from England comprising two pairs of brother and sister; and their music belongs to the traditional UK rocks, just like "Papas&Mamas" or "The Lovin’Spoonful", those bands of 60's. The lead vocal Romeo sounds like Wayen Coyen of "The Flaming Lips".
I knew them because of the music video "Forever lost", which is a really great video based on a really great song. some people may think the song is really simple; but if you listen to it with your heart, you will feel onslaught of their country soul tunes. This made me find and listen to their other songs, and I felt the heartquake again and again. At times coming on a bit like Kings of Leon with female vocal harmonies, at others producing beautifully warm folky ballads. They're just amazing! like people said, who cares about they're overweight.
Obviously they are really popular at this moment and they've already released seven albums; however, if they dont put some new elements in their performing style to achieve a breakthrough, i do have concern that they are gonna lose their current popularity in the future.
