How live performance is presented in TV- in terms of the crane camera use.

When we talk about live performance it is always referring to the gigs and concerts. In that moment, the performers could develop a close rapport with their audiences (or fans). However, the ticket might be expensive; the field might be full of people; the location might be far away; for those people who can not go to the concert in person, so they could just watch it on screen.

Here, we can not neglect the function of crane camera which is broadly used in various TV programmes, such as sports, interviews, shows and so on, as we can move the crane and turn the camera to get different views. Therefore, crane camera enriches the lens language of TV programme in the way it is working, increasing movement and diversification of the frame, giving us a sense of boundless space, so that your eyes will never withdrew from the stage and it makes you just feel like in the live show.

Often we see people use two sets of crane camera in the general live performance, one is set in front of the stage for taking on the performer; the other one is mainly used for capturing the audiences’ response. By the greatest extent, the camera has to capture the performer’s fascinating movement. Fore-stage crane camera has to be positioned close to the stage and as much as possible on the two sides of the main stage. Besides, put the camera in this place it could break out the limitations and have more advantages than the normal camera, as it can take care of the whole stage through different views.
