I mentioned this shot in the lecture yesterday. This is Scorsese's take on the backstage cliché. But this time it's the privileged audience members rather than the band. They've come to see Bobby Vinton. The diegetic music or is it non-diegetic music comes from the Phil Spector production 'And Then He Kissed Me' (was it the Crystals or the Ronettes?)
